Keys to Success
As our sole in-house technical writer, you will need to be highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Quick question for you - click here Your success will be measured, in large part, by your ability to improve the productivity and capacity of our RFP team. That means not only will you be responsible for writing, you’ll bring a customer service approach to gathering the details key to knowledge transfer. Strong influencing skills will also be important. While we believe in work/life balance and do our best to ensure employees have the time necessary to rest and rejuvenate, heavy growth and the upcoming changes in lease regulations mean this isn't a 9 to 5 role. We anticipate a 50 hour work week to be typical, but depending on your workflow, the week could be longer or shorter at times. To be successful, you must be willing to flex as required to meet RFP and other deadlines. Some writing can be done outside of business hours on a company supplied laptop.
Additionally, to be an outstanding technical writer and team member, you will:
- Be skilled at understanding and synthesizing highly technical information.
- Work well under scheduled deadline pressure, flexing and necessary to meet your responsibilities. You won't get any last minute requests.
- Pay close attention to details without losing sight of the big picture and how the details fit into it.
- Bring enthusiasm, passion and energy to your work.
- Be an active learner, always seeking ways to improve your product and other foundational knowledge.
- Keep an eye out for ways to build efficiencies.
- Maintain a strong commitment to quality.
